On top of that, Fabrizio Romano has already shared that personal terms are said to have been agreed with the Ghanaian international for his switch to Goodison Park.

Could Kudus be the man to come in and solve our attacker woes?

Anthony Gordon has been forced to play centrally, but that is certainly not working at this moment in time as Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to be out for weeks.

Kudus plays centrally for Ajax and brings along Champions League experience to Goodison Park should a move be ironed out over the coming days.

The 22-year-old has played in attacking midfield, but also as a centre-forward previously [transfermarkt], so that will certainly be exploited by Frank Lampard.

Everton are desperate for anyone who can play that role right now, and Kudus would cover that gap until either another striker is signed this month, or we wait for Calvert-Lewin to return.

It will be interesting to see which role he takes up should this one be given the green light over the weekend, with the move gathering pace with each couple of hours.
