Everton want to sign Valencia striker Maxi Gomez

Everton are interested in signing Valencia striker Maxi Gomez in the summer, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

The Toffees are in the market to sign an attacker to replace Richarlison who ended up joining Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer.

As per the latest report, the Merseyside club are one of the clubs keen on making a move for the Uruguay international and are facing competition from Newcastle United and Fenerbahce.

Not bad

Everton came into the market knowing that they will have to sign a striker as there were too many doubts about the future of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

While one of those two ended up staying, the departure of the other have left the squad short of options in the final third and with time running out, it is crucial that manager Frank Lampard must make a move and sign a forward as soon as possible.

Signing Gomez will definitely going to help the side in the attacking department as he has experience of playing at the highest level.
