Everton-linked Maxi Gomez could have price raised after previous terms agreed
Everton target Maxi Gomez had agreed a move to Fenerbahce but Valencia may now raise the asking price, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish Super League club had shaken hands with the Spanish side on a transfer fee of £8.4million and personal terms were also agreed but the move was delayed as Fenerbahce made a last-ditch attempt to sign Alexander Sorloth from RB Leipzig.
As a result, Everton and Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach entered the race to sign the 26-year-old and Valencia now want to raise his asking price to at least £10million.

Gomez’s former side Celta Vigo have also confused things further by asking about their sell-on percentage that could cause the La Liga side to ask for even more again to maintain their handy profit.
The Uruguayan international endured his worst season in terms of goals last time around with only five to his name from 29 league matches.
Not good enough
If Gomez can only manage five goals in La Liga then there is no immediately obvious reason why Frank Lampard should go and make him a part of his Everton squad.
Sure, they need a striker while Dominic Calvert-Lewin sits on the sidelines through injury but as Salomon Rondon has proven, it can’t just be any old striker that they try to lay their hands on.

It has to be someone who would come in and make a difference and you can’t see how the Uruguayan would do that unless he has a secret superpower that no one is aware of.
The Toffees can look far beyond Gomez for their saviour at striker and if he has already come to an agreement personally with Fenerbahce, then let them suffer the consequences.
The Black and Yellows are much further down the line negotiations so making any attempt to sign him is just a futile waste of time for everyone.
