Everton confirm starting XI for Premier League clash v Brentford
Everton have announced their starting XI for their Premier League fixture against Brentford, with Anthony Gordon starting among transfer speculation.
The Toffees have had a hard start to their new campaign where they have only managed to register a single point after the first three matches.
Announced on Twitter, the Merseyside club named a strong lineup. However, new striker Neal Maupay, who joined from Brighton on Friday, will not feature in this match but new signing Amadou Onana starts.
Very important
Everton came into this window hoping that they would have a much better time than the last season where they narrowly managed to escape relegation.
However, things have not gone as per plan yet as the Toffees are still winless after the first three matches and therefore, the pressure is slowly but surely rising on Frank Lampard to deliver the goods.
On a positive note, Everton have managed to sign Maupay — who will not be allowed to feature in today’s fixture — from Brighton who is a direct replacement of Richarlison who joined league Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer.

His arrival will definitely give a big boost to the players as well as the fans as they now have a striker who has delivered in the Premier League and can be more than just a replacement for the Brazil international.
