Michael Owen delivers Everton relegation verdict after Brentford draw
Michael Owen has admitted that he worries for Everton and their chances to stay in the Premier League after the Brentford clash.
The Toffees did not lose the game as they shared the points with the Bees with both sides playing out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
However, after four games, they are still winless and now face the very real threat of being in another relegation battle.

Speaking on Premier League Productions’ Matchday Extra, Owen said, “I am worried about them. It’s not going to get much better this season. Their squad is getting weaker and weaker.
“It’s going to big test for Frank Lampard. When you look at their team, there is nobody who’s going to score 10 goals.”
Maupay the answer?
We hate to agree with Owen there but he does make a lot of sense and there is a good chance that the Toffees will get drawn into it.
They had to sign a striker this summer and signed Brighton’s under-performing front man in Neil Maupay.
However, he has struggled in the Premier League over the last two seasons and the Toffees may have to look for another attacker as well.
It’s also important for them to keep in mind that Anthony Gordon also looks like he’s on his way out with Chelsea not seeming to cool their interest.
The London giants are a Champions League outfit and can afford to pay top dollar, so financially, Everton could think of cashing in.
Chelsea are prepared to pay a ‘huge’ amount of money up front to sign him so it’s likely to be a lot of money for the Toffees to reinvest in the squad.
