Adnan Januzaj still waits for Everton offer amid interest from Venezia

Belgium winger Adnan Januzaj is still waiting for an offer from Everton, as per Sacha Tavolieri.

The reliable journalist, who works from RMC Sport, wrote on Twitter on 28 August that Januzaj is being targeted by Italian club Venezia.

However, the Serie B club would struggle to match his £2.5m wages per year, and that leaves Everton in the driving seat for the race.

Tavolieri wrote on Twitter: “Interested in Adnan Januzaj, Venezia inquired about a possible arrival of the Belgian, who is still waiting for Everton FC. Januzaj asks for a salary of around 3M € net per year. Difficult to achieve therefore, for the Serie B club.”

Decent option

Januzaj may not be a hugely exciting signing for the Toffees, but he can still do a decent job.

The fact that he is available on a free transfer, makes it a risk-free signing. Even if he fails to deliver, the Toffees won’t suffer a lot financially.

The 27-year-old is desperate to land a new club this summer after his contract with Real Sociedad ended last season.

Real Sociedad

With the new season already underway, it must be really frustrating for him that he is struggling to find a new club where he can play regularly.

Everton can ask him to reduce his asking price, if they feel best. Januzaj is running out of options, and this could be his best chance to make a return to the Premier League and resurrect his career.

He was once seen as a huge talent coming out of Manchester United, but he has failed to justify that hype.
