Everton and PSG finally agree Idrissa Gueye deal, medical expected imminently
Everton are on the verge of finally completing a deal to bring Idrissa Gueye back to the club from Paris Saint-Germain, Fabrice Hawkins at RMC Sport reports.
The Senegal international has been on the brink of an exit from the French champions all summer, but the move back to Goodison Park has been repeatedly delayed over recent weeks.
But a breakthrough has finally been made and agreement in principle has been reached with PSG, with L’Equipe also reporting that sources in England say it is now down to a few final details to complete.

Negotiations over the weekend have progressed and the RMC Sport report says the midfield veteran should commit to Everton “very soon”.
The medical is due to take place within the next 48-hours, although the amount that has finally been accepted to settle the move is not yet clear.
The Toffees have already added £33.5million Amadou Onana to their midfield options, and last completed a deal to finally add Neal Maupay up front.
At last
This will be a huge boost to Frank Lampard and to Everton fans, after what looked like such an obvious deal to get done got further and further bogged down.
Despite being one of the richest clubs in the world and making quite plain for all to see that they had no use for a group of players that included now-West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer and Athletic Bilbao returnee Ander Herrera, they have not been easy to negotiate with to take one off their hands.
All that matters from the Toffees perspective now is that this one does in fact get completed before the transfer window shuts this week.

Gueye’s arrival, assuming it does happen as expected, should be boost not only to the squad in general, but to how Lampard can set the team up with a genuine top level defensive midfielder shielding the defence.
It has also been tipped to be a crucial aid in Onana’s development as he adapts to the Premier League, so the importance of concluding this deal at last cannot be overstated.
Emotions have swung wildly during the summer window, and the slow start to the season has taken that in a negative direction recently, but if Gueye returns and the knock-on effects are as powerful as hoped it could be a key turning point.
