Jamie Carragher makes Everton fans admission after fallout from Richarlison showboating in Spurs v Nottingham Forest

Jamie Carragher slammed former Everton player and Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison for keep-ups in the 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

After receiving stick for it on Twitter, Carragher responded to a renowned Toffees fan channel presenter and said that the Goodison Park faithful would also be infuriated if they saw an opposition player doing this.

Despite setting up Harry Kane’s goal for 2-0, the former Liverpool pundit gave him stick live on Sky Sports.

He then took to Twitter to write, “If an opposition player did it at Goodison you’d all be screaming for someone to put him in the stand.”

Baffling

Carragher is a Liverpool fan and a former Reds player so anything about Everton or their ex players seems to rub him the wrong way.

He has never spoken about Roberto Firmino showing his flair on the pitch, as he shouldn’t, as every player is entitled to what they want.

If their manager has a problem with it, it’ll be dealt with internally, and this clearly shows his agenda against the Toffees.

Fans can boo players all they want and that’s well within their rights as it creates a hostile atmosphere on the pitch and makes things difficult for the opposition.

Carragher, on the other hand, is paid to analyse games and be unbiased about his assessment of players and this clearly isn’t it.

To go on rants to then defend yourself on Twitter is frankly embarrassing and he’s got to do better than this.

Even Michael Owen is a former Liverpool player but his assessment of Everton appears to be unbiased in comparison to Carragher’s.
