Paul Merson urges Everton to sell Anthony Gordon if Chelsea table player plus cash offer
Paul Merson believes that Everton should let Anthony Gordon leave if they receive an offer of cash plus a player from Chelsea this week.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park in the ongoing transfer with the Blues leading the charge.
Merson, in a column for Sportskeeda, stated that the Merseyside club should seriously consider selling Gordon if they receive an offer including cash plus Armando Broja or Conor Gallagher.

“If I was in charge of Everton and was offered to take Broja or Gallagher as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Gordon, I’d consider it to be the deal of the century and take it,” he said.
Important
No matter what anyone said about Gordon, it is becoming increasingly clear that letting a player of his quality leave, that too with just days remaining in the transfer window, will be nothing less than catastrophic.
The England U21 international has once again shown this weekend that he has what it takes to deliver at the highest level.

As Richarlison has already left and joined Tottenham Hotspur, Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured for quite some time whereas Neal Maupay has only joined the club, Gordon remains Everton’s focal point in the attacking department and therefore, Frank Lampard must ensure that the player will stay at the club for a considerable amount of time.
The 21-year-old has been an Everton academy player and was promoted to the club’s senior team in January 2020.
Since then, he has represented his current club in 64 matches across all competitions, scoring five times and providing eight assists in the process [Transfermarkt].
