Mohammed Kudus pushing Ajax to accept Everton offer

Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus is pushing the club to accept an offer from Everton, as per journalist Fraser Fletcher.

The Dutch giants could be in real trouble, as the likes of Kudus and Edison Alvarez have gone on strike, following the footsteps of Anthony, who joined Manchester United.

Everton retain strong interest in the Ghana international who has refused to train and is trying to engineer a move away from the club.

Fletcher, who previously worked for BBC, wrote on Twitter (1 September): “Edison Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus both on strike at Ajax. Alvarez wants Chelsea move and Kudus still pushing Ajax to accept Everton offer.”

Late twist?

Everton are likey to sign two players on the transfer deadline day.

Idrissa Gueye and James Garner are expected to complete their moves, while Anthony Gordon stays put.

The Toffees could still be in the market to sign one top-quality player, and they are ready to spend big.

Fabrizio Romano reported on 1 September that the Toffees had submitted a formal bid on Wednesday (31 August) for Joao Pedro, which was in the region of £25m plus £5m add-ons.

Everton

Watford rejected the move, but the key thing to notice here is that Frank Lampard is ready to spend big if the player is right.

Ajax are refusing to let the player go, while the player is adamant that he wants to move on. The 22-year-old is a fantastic talent, and he would be a terrific addition to the club.

Despite losing Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur, Frank Lampard will be pretty happy with the signings the club have made this summer.

The Toffees are yet to win a Premier League game, but there is an improvement in the level of performance.
