Idrissa Gueye sends four word message to Everton striker Neal Maupay

Idrissa Gueye has sent a brilliant message to Neal Maupay on Instagram after Everton won against West Ham.

Maupay opened his scoring account for the Toffees when he netted in the 53rd minute against the Hammers on Sunday (18 September) at Goodison Park.

He took to Instagram to express his reaction. He wrote: “Sunday well spent with the squad.”

Gueye, another summer signing responded by saying – “Change no shoes please.”

First of many

It was Everton’s first win of the season, and Frank Lampard will be very happy with the effort.

The Toffees are now undefeated in their last five games in the league, and they will head to the international break on a positive note.

The new signings have made a big difference, and Maupay is one of them.

He joined from Brighton in the summer transfer window and could have opened his account against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby as well.

Everton

However, he didn’t have to wait long. The likes of Gueye, Amadou Onana and Alex Iwobi have been outstanding during the game, while Demarai Gray was also superb.

Everton enjoyed 54% of possession in the game, and they created several fantastic opportunities to extend their lead.

The Toffees, who struggled in the past in their forward department, now have a strong attacking squad, and they are expected to get even better when Dominic Calvert-Lewin will return to starting line-up, possibly after the international break.
