Everton caught in crossfire as Simon Jordan tears into West Ham
Everton have shown signs of improvement in every game so far this season but that hasn’t stopped Simon Jordan from taking a swipe.
The talkSPORT pundit was breaking down West Ham United’s season so far and the situation former Toffees boss David Moyes has got himself into as the Goodison Park club got caught in the crossfire.
He did caveat his dig at the Merseyside outfit shortly after following their 1-0 victory over the Hammers on Sunday afternoon thanks to a very well-taken goal from summer recruit Neal Maupay, his first for the club.

“Obviously, David Moyes was a little critical of his team over the weekend in their performance against Everton and you would have expected them to get something out of that game because Everton are not a good side,” Jordan said.
“But notwithstanding that, you have to give credit to Everton for getting the result.”
Blinkers
A lot of the media have seemed to get blinded by the struggles Everton suffered last season and refuse to open their eyes to the 2022-23 campaign so far.
Barring a couple of lacklustre performances right at the start of the season, Frank Lampard’s side have improved in every single game and the results are coming as a consequence.

The first Premier League victory of the season on Sunday was long overdue after four successive draws which now sees the Toffees sit 13th in the division, well clear of last season’s ‘Best of the Rest’ who are in the drop zone after seven games.
And Everton have been doing all of this without star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin through injury and once he returns to fitness and form, things could really take off.
But the media aren’t ready to realise that yet so Lampard will be more than content to keep going under the radar to people outside of Finch Farm.
