Everton defender Nathan Patterson delivers injury update after major scare on Scotland duty

Everton right-back Nathan Patterson has revealed his recovery from the injury is going “so far, so good”.

Patterson, on his official Twitter account on Saturday, stated that he is hoping for some good news in the upcoming week.

Important player

After a dismal campaign where they narrowly managed to escape relegation last season there are signs that things are on the up at the club currently.

Just before the international break on September 18, the Toffees finally managed to secure their first win in the league campaign after four consecutive draws where they defeated West Ham [Premier League].

Even before that victory, there was a sense of optimism around Goodison Park, largely because of the performances the team has put in.

Everton

Everton looked a far more formidable side, at least defensively, compared to how they were last season and one of the reasons is the star performances of Patterson alongside new-look centre-back pairing Conor Coady and James Tarkowski.

The 20-year-old has been a shining star for the Merseyside club in the 2022-23 campaign, and the fans, as well as manager Frank Lampard, will be hoping to see him return to full fitness as soon as possible so he can start contributing to the team’s cause.

What looked like a big blow to the plans on Merseyside appear to be getting some tentative good news so all eyes will now be on the results from further tests this week.
