Everton defender Nathan Patterson injury not as serious as feared
Everton defender Nathan Patterson is unlikely to face lengthy time on the sidelines, according to Scottish Daily Express.
The Scotland international suffered an injury while representing the national team in the match against Ukraine on September 21 [BBC Sport].
It was feared that the 20-year-old might be out for a considerable amount of time but as per the latest report, the injury is not as serious as it was feared initially.

Massive boost
Everton have finally got their season going as they secured their first win of the league campaign after beating West Ham just before the international break on September 18 [Premier League].
The last thing that the Toffees would’ve wanted now would be to see a key player like Patterson ruled out for a long time and it looked like that would’ve been the case with his reaction after getting injured in the match against Ukraine.

Therefore, the recent news will be a massive boost for the team and especially manager Frank Lampard, who will be hoping to see the 20-year-old return to full fitness as soon as possible, which will definitely help the side in their bid to avoid another tough campaign.
Patterson has been an Everton player since moving from Scottish club Rangers in a deal worth £16 million in January earlier this year.
Since then, he has only represented the Merseyside club in nine matches across all competitions, eight of which came in the ongoing campaign [Transfermarkt].
