Allan sends brilliant message after he leaves Everton on free transfer

Allan has sent a brilliant message on Instagram after he completed his move away from Everton.

The Toffees have confirmed on Tuesday (27 September) that the paperwork for Allan’s permanent transfer to Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates has been completed.

The 31-year-old has not featured for Frank Lampard’s side this season, and the club decided to let him go.

Allan wrote on the Instagram story: “Thank you for everything Everton. It was a pleasure to be part of the blue family. I will always be cheering…”

Moving on

Allan joined the Toffees from Napoli for £21million two years ago, signed by Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian fell down the pecking order at the Merseyside club.

Frank Lampard brought in three new midfielders during the summer window.

The Toffees boss signed Idrissa Gueye, Amadou Onana and James Garner during the summer, while he already has Tom Davies and Abdoulaye Doucoure as other options.

Allan has posted several photos where he was seen practising with his new teammates in training.

Everton

He made 57 appearances for the Blues after joining from Serie A side Napoli.

He has 10 caps from Brazil, and he will currently play under former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal at Al Wahda.

Allan is a brilliant player but he just couldn’t justify his worth at the Merseyside club.

He was used mostly as a defensive midfielder which is not his natural role. Allan rather loves to control the midfield in the presence of a defensive midfielder.

Anyway, Lampard has other plans. We wish Allan all the best.
