Sources close to Maciek Kaminski do not recognise £400m reports over Everton takeover push
Sources close to Maciek Kaminski do not recognise £400million as the sale number being spoken of for a potential takeover of Everton, according to Ben Jacobs.
The CBS journalist shared the news after it was reported by the Financial Times that was the fee that could swap hands to Farhad Moshiri should this go through.
There has been positive dialogue over the potential takeover, but nothing is described as imminent with no fee yet to be agreed upon as talks continue.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Jacobs shared the reaction from those close to Kaminski after figures started to be thrown around.
“More on Maciek Kaminski’s proposed takeover of Everton,” he wrote. Although there has been positive dialogue, a deal is not imminent. No price has been agreed.
“Sources close to the Kaminski side also don’t recognise £400m as the sale number being spoken of.”
Another Twist.
There are so many cogs in this potential takeover.
When you factor in the new stadium on top of the losses recorded in recent years, it isn’t just a straightforward purchase of a club in the Premier League.
Moshiri has pumped so much of his own money into the club too so he would surely want to recover some of that in his sale, all of these things which could change the price.
For the £400million price to be brandished and reported so early, it appeared as though things were much more advanced than anyone knew, but now it has come out that they are just really starting.
Positive talks are obviously a move in the right direction but basically the first step of a very, very long journey when so much money is on the table, and in the Premier League.
Nothing is going to happen soon regardless of these talks, and based on everything that has happened in the past 24-48 hours, it looks as though there will be many more twists along the way.
