Farhad Moshiri remains in Bramley-Moore financing talks as Everton takeover speculation swirls

Farhad Moshiri has continued talks over the financing of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium build whilst Everton takeover speculation starts to go into overdrive, according to the Liverpool ECHO.

The newspaper has reported on its website that the resolve of the owner does not appear to have been seriously tested yet by either Maciek Kaminski or Jeffrey Soros.

Moshiri instead looks to remain keen to oversee the move from Goodison Park down to the docks for the new stadium in the coming years.

Writing in his latest column for the ECHO, Joe Thomas shared the latest state of play in Merseyside as reports continue to swirl regarding ownership.

“Since then, Mr Moshiri is understood to have continued his involvement in talks over the financing of Bramley-Moore,” he wrote.

“But while his resolve does not appear to have been seriously tested, at this stage he is still thought to be keen to oversee the club’s move from Goodison Park to the Liverpool waterfront.”

This is always going to be key in such a big project.

Since Alisher Usmanov saw ties cut with the club, Moshiri and his involvement in the stadium, the search for new naming partners has certainly hit the ground running.

The new partnership with Elevate Sports Ventures LLC is interesting in that search for new partners, with a lucrative deal wanted, mainly due to what was in place before.

Usmanov had £30million on the table, something Finance Expert, Dan Plumley told Goodison News was inflated due to his close bond with Moshiri previously.

It is unlikely that sort of money will be brought in again, so the Toffees need to be smart with how they try and get that partner to pay up for the new stadium.

With takeover speculation refusing to go away too, all of this will need to be factored into whoever tries and takes control of the club, as it will only add more value.

Interesting times ahead at Goodison Park and Bramley-Moore, that is for sure.
