Paul Merson praises Frank Lampard for ‘getting best out of’ Everton players this season
Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has stated he is more than “impressed” with Frank Lampard’s work at Everton this season.
The Toffees have enjoyed a bright start to their campaign where they have managed to secure 10 points from their first eight matches which included just two defeats.
In a recent column for Sportkeeda, Merson heaped praise on the former Derby manager and stated that the 44-year-old is getting the best out of his players on a regular basis.

“Everton have done really well in recent weeks,” he wrote.
“I’ve been impressed with what Frank Lampard has done at the club so far. He’s getting the absolute best out of the players at his disposal, which is what the fans want to see.”
Important fixture ahead
Everton have been one of the success stories this season, especially after what they went through in the previous campaign where they narrowly managed to escape relegation to the second tier in English football.
This term, the Toffees are looking rock solid, both in the midfield as well as on the defensive side of things and all of the credit must be given to Lampard because it is he who identified key targets to add to the squad to strengthen them in a manner where they are not easy to beat anymore.

Moving forward, the next match for the Merseyside club will be up against Manchester United on Sunday, 09 October, who themselves are coming into the fixture after suffering a 6-3 defeat against their city rivals Manchester City.
Therefore, the game presents an amazing opportunity for the side to secure all three points while playing at home, just like they did back in April earlier this year against the same opposition, courtesy of an Anthony Gordon strike.
