Farhad Moshiri spokesperson speaks out after Everton auditors reportedly part ways with club
Farhad Moshiri’s spokesperson has reportedly denied the fact that BDO have parted ways with Everton after being their auditors.
On October 12 it was revealed that they informed the Toffees about their intentions to leave after concerns over the financing as well as Moshiri’s ownership.
It turns out, according to the Iranian’s spokesperson, that it was fabricated and it’s just that BDO decided not to comply with a Guardian reporter.

Paul from the ESK, who has worked as a journalist at the Liverpool Echo, The Observer and the Examiner said on his Talking The Blues podcast at 2:27 “A spokesperson for Moshiri has very quickly denied and said that ‘Your assertions on BDO are based on nothing more than refusing to discuss the client matter with a third-party journalist.
“BDO remain as our auditors and have not resigned.”
Two sides
The Guardian have not issued a correction or even pulled the article so it seems like they are standing by what they’ve said.
This said Moshiri spokesperson should make a public statement or the club should issue one of their own as it directly impacts them.
The silence here means that there’s something more to it than meets the eye and it remains to be seen how things pan out in the next few weeks.
It was reported by the Guardian that the Toffees were looking for new auditors but according to Moshiri that’s not what is happening.
We’re hoping that this takeover goes ahead as soon as possible so all things pertaining to him go away with him.
With a new stadium coming ahead and a new director of football, it’s best for Everton to have a new owner to eschew in a new era.
