Richarlison in tears after Everton Premier League clash v Tottenham Hotspur
Richarlison was spotted crying and was inconsolable after he suffered an injury as Tottenham Hotspur beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday night.
According to ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco, after his injury, the Brazilian could not contain his tears and it does seem like he sustained something pretty serious.
The 25-year-old started against his former side but had to be withdrawn midway through the clash.
Via Twitter, Castelo-Branco wrote, “Richarlison is crying, inconsolable in the dressing room after coming out injured against Everton.”
Hope he’s fine
Surely the Spurs forward will have the World Cup in mind and he appears to be a guaranteed starter for Brazil if he’s fit enough.
The injury seemed bad and he probably felt the effects of it which is why he burst out into tears and we think it could affect his plans for the coming months.
Players undoubtedly hate being injured but it pinches more ahead of such a huge tournament in which he’s possibly in the prime of his career.
We’re hoping he gets back to fitness soon enough so that he can be part of Tite’s plans and on the plane to go to Qatar next month.
There are fears that it could be the same calf injury he suffered back when he was at Everton and that does tend to keep players out for a while.
A grade 1 injury will keep him out for around two weeks but a grade 2 one can see him miss up to a month which is not ideal timing.
