Everton defender Yerry Mina representatives may be looking at potential exit routes

The representatives of Everton defender Yerry Mina could possibly be looking at exit routes with a Goodison Park departure on the cards.

According to former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones, the Colombian may be on his way out in the January transfer window, having just played one league game all season.

He has been linked with an exit for the last few windows and it does appear that he could be leaving the club for good in the coming months.

Jones told Give Me Sport, “You understand why this is on the cards at the moment, I think his representatives are looking at potential exit routes.”

Sooner the better

We’re surprised that Mina has lasted so long at the club as he does not seem keen to keep himself fit and play games for the Toffees.

After James Tarkowski and Conor Coady’s arrival, even if Mina’s fit, there’s a very good chance that he does not get thrown into the eleven.

Frank Lampard has solidified the defence without the injury-prone Colombian and there’s no reason he will want him back in the first-team squad even if he’s fit.

The ship has sailed and Lampard surely will be happier with two reliable defenders who have performed beyond expectations at Everton this season.

Mina has just played 70 minutes of Premier League football and the Toffees have one of the best defensive records in the division without him.

We reported it earlier but it now seems more realistic than ever that the 28-year-old may have played his final game at the club.
