Mark Lawrenson predicts result of Everton Premier League clash vs Leicester City
Mark Lawrenson is backing Everton to keep their good form in the Premier League going when they face off against Leicester on Saturday evening.
The Toffees have recovered from three defeats in a row with a win over Crystal Palace and a goalless draw with Fulham last time out which was described as “lucky” by some, and head back to Goodison Park to take on the Foxes, who suffered defeat to Manchester City in their last game.
But after recovering from a shocking start to the season, Lawrenson told Paddy Power (4 November) that this will be a “real test” for them and a poor result could see them almost back to square one.

“Leicester put up a good showing against Manchester City while Everton got a good draw away from home,” he said.
“I think this is real test for Leicester but if they don’t get anything against Everton it’s almost back to square one. Everton 2-1 Leicester.“
Momentum
It’s underestimated how big momentum is in football, especially off the pitch, and that is something that Everton have got in abundance currently.
It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of a season from the Blues so far, but they’ve found defensive stability for the most part and now they need to address their issue in front of goal.
They looked far better at Goodison against Leicester with the fans behind them and the energy high, so replicating that will be a big challenge but one that will certainly play in their favour if they can do it.
Lampard may look to change his team slightly to keep energy high and ensure there is hunger, with more needed from the attackers to ensure they are getting their rewards from games.
Both teams will be hungry for a result and know how big it can be to go into the World Cup break off a run of wins, so fingers crossed we can get the job done.
