Sky Sports pundit believes Frank Lampard looking for Yerry Mina Everton exit, may not be alone
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Yerry Mina will be moved on by Everton boss Frank Lampard because he is older than teammates Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey, says Kevin Campbell.
All three defenders have proven injury prone in recent months, but the Colombian international is probably the least available of the three, and with James Tarkowski and Conor Coady looking entrenched as starters there is an overload of centre-backs at the club.
Sky Sports pundit Campbell expects movement at the position in the coming window and believes the 28-year-old is most likely to exit, but may not be the only one.

He exclusively told Goodison News of the centre-back rotation: “Yeah I think a couple of them might possibly be leaving.
“Probably you can keep two, so I think Mina’s the odd one out if I’m honest.
“I think he’s a good player he just unfortunately hasn’t been able to keep himself healthy, and some of the youngsters are the same.
“Yerry Mina’s the experienced one, he’s older. I think Frank Lampard will look to move him on because Holgate and Godfrey, I think they’ve got years ahead of them.
“I think there’s some players in there if they can concentrate and keep themselves fit. I think with Mina, that’s one that they might move on.”

Of all the options in the squad it makes most sense to let Mina go, with his contract expiring next summer and his availability not proving regular enough to justify the wages of a new deal.
If others are to follow then Michael Keane seems a potential candidate, as he is older than Mina and despite being a strong servant for Everton in his time at the club saw a significant downturn in form last season.
With Jarrad Branthwaite also one for the future and actively being developed on loan this season it seems certain that the Toffees will need to drop at least a couple of numbers at the position, having improved with the summer signings.
