Everton youngster Stanley Mills could be handed debut v Bournemouth in Carabao Cup after what Frank Lampard said
Frank Lampard has been on the record gushing over Stanley Mills ahead of the Everton v Bournemouth Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old winger moved to Goodison Park from Leeds United four years ago and has done well for the developmental squads.
He appears all but set to be on the bench and should Lampard be content with his team’s performance, he could throw Mills on in the second half.

Via the club’s official website, Lampard said, “My intention is to get some young lads on the bench for the game, to have a feel of being part of it and to see if we can get them on the pitch.
“I’d like to think we’d have two, three, four on the bench, but I can’t guarantee that until we have a squad count up.
“Stanley has been doing really well, scoring regularly, playing well, and developing really well, so it’s nice to give players like that the opportunity when they come around.”
Mills is known for his silky dribbling and his ability to beat players for pace at the youth level and it’ll be interesting to see his transition to the first team.
A lot of players show plenty of promise for the under-18s and under-21s/23s but then fail to make the mark up to the senior side.
We’re hoping that Mills is an exception to the norm and continues to shine after making a “Superb” start to life at Goodison Park at the under-23s level.
It has been reported that the 19-year-old’s first-team plans have been mapped out already so Lampard may be prepared to unleash him on the senior stage at Everton.
