Ange Postecoglou can bring Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis to Everton if he replaces Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard is under pressure to keep his job at Everton, and if the results do not improve there is a high chance, he would be sacked.

The Toffees have once again made a disastrous start to the season, and after early promise, they are languishing close to the relegation zone.

Alan Nixon reported via his Patreon account on Sunday (13 November) Everton’s board are concerned by the team’s form, and they could look to sack Lampard if the worrying form continues.

The Toffees board admires Australia manager Ange Postecoglou because he’s “straight-talking” and plays “fast and attractive football”.

Everton will face Wolves and Manchester City before the New Year, and if the Toffees lose both their games, surely the club will be forced to look for new options.

In case, Postecoglou joins the club before the January window, his first priority will be to sign a striker at Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is injured once again while Neal Maupay hasn’t proved to be a hit since joining the club in the summer. Salomon Rondon has no future at the club, and he is only a mere passage at the moment.

Postecoglou, if signed, could play an instrumental role in bringing Giorgos Giakoumakis from Celtic. The Toffees showed interest in signing the Greek striker in the summer, but their approaches had been turned down, as reported by The Scotsman on 17 August

The 27-year-old is playing at the peak of his form, and he was sensational for the Bhoys last season. Before joining Celtic, he scored 29 goals in 33 games in the Dutch league for VVV-Venlo.

In his debut season at Celtic Park, he managed 17 goals in 29 games. This season, he has scored eight goals in 21 games in all competitions.

He is a prolific striker; certainly, someone who knows where the net is, and in theory, could make a big impact at Goodison Park. While Celtic could still be reluctant to sell their prized asset, the combination of the Postecoglou factor and the financial incentives could be enough to lure him away to Goodison Park.
