Everton could sack Frank Lampard during Australia trip as Farhad Moshiri waits
A non-competitive tour to Australia might not seem like a pivotal moment in any club’s season but it could be for Everton if it goes badly.
The Toffees ended the first portion of the Premier League season marginally above the relegation zone in 17th position and Frank Lampard’s job at the club has come under fire as a result [Daily Mail].
Farhad Moshiri has never shied away from making big decisions that not all fans would agree with and he could easily use poor performances down under to finally pull the trigger he has been hovering over for some time, according to the Daily Mail.

On paper, Everton should be able to comfortably beat both Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers in the Sydney Super Cup they have agreed to take part in while the World Cup is on in Qatar.
Ange Postecoglu’s side will be their tougher assignment having played in the Champions League this season but there should still be more than enough quality to end up victorious.
Lampard does have a few players in the Middle East representing their countries but the same can be said of the Hoops who have a strong Japanese contingent ready to play in Qatar.

Two defeats in Australia could easily see Moshiri’s patience with the former England international snap and he may well be back at the Job Centre when he returns to the UK.
Everton quite simply can not afford to be relegated when they have a £500million new stadium being built and requiring funding to finish while also having a very well-paid squad of players too.
If Lampard starts to take the Toffees closer to the Championship then Moshiri will be left with no choice and a poor showing down under may give him the perfect excuse to find a new boss.
