£17.3m update as Everton already submitted bid for Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia

Salernitana reportedly are eyeing £17.3million to part ways with their striker Boulaye Dia amid interest from Everton, West Ham and Borussia Dortmund.

According to Tutto Salernitana [28 November], the Seria A club have a right to purchase him permanently from Valencia which they’re expected to do.

After that, they could sell him for a profit and the likes of West Ham and the Toffees have already enquired about him.

The same publication on 12 October claimed that Everton had an offer on the table for the World Cup striker for Senegal in the region £13million and £14million.

Up the offer?

The Toffees clearly need an attacker in the January transfer window and if they’ve decided on Dia then so be it, but they need to act quickly.

It’s understood that the Hammers are also serious about their interest and an offer is on the table from them as well, although it’s unclear how much.

The 26-year-old is also on Borussia Dortmund’s radar and they’ll surely hold a better chance of signing him than Everton.

He will get Champions League football and the chance to challenge for trophies there while at Goodison Park, avoiding relegation is unfortunately the goal for the season.

However, if he wants a Premier League move and will join Everton then an improved offer must be submitted as soon as possible.

He’s also in his prime or nearing it soon so he could be a good attacking option for the next four seasons at the very least and he could reinvent his position as well.
