Everton set to make approach to sign Aberdeen striker Lewis Pirie, transfer on cards
Everton are set to make an official approach for Aberdeen teen sensation Lewis Pirie, with several other Premier League clubs keeping close tabs on the 15-year-old, according to Press and Journal.
The Toffees watched Pirie as he scored four goals for Aberdeen’s Under-16s side against Dundee United and are set to make a formal approach in the near future.
The starlet’s stock rose yet further after scoring the winner in Scotland Under-16s 3-2 victory over Wales on Tuesday (29 November).

Dons’ striker is now reportedly on the radar of a number of other Premier League clubs, including Leeds United, Brighton and Fulham.
The report said: “Everton watched the 15-year-old score four goals for the Dons’ U16s in a recent 5-2 win over Dundee United.
“The Toffees are understood to be set to follow up their interest with an approach for the teen after receiving a glowing report.
“Aberdeen chiefs are desperate to get Scotland youth international Pirie signed on pro-forms when he comes of age early next year.”

Burgeoning talent
Everton will be hopeful is securing the services of the youngster, who could join Everton’s ever-blossoming crop of youngsters on Merseyside.
Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin has lauded Pirie as one of the brightest talents he has worked with and recently asked the teenager to train with the first team at Pittodrie.
At just 15 years of age – and not 16 till January – Pirie has already netted an extraordinary 33 goals at youth levels for the club and country so far this season, and given these exploits, it would prove a no-brainer for The Toffees to swoop in on.
With January just around the corner, the starlet will have to make a quick decision with several top-flight clubs snooping around the Wanderers.
The Merseyside club are clearly looking to change their philosophy in terms of its academy and youth recruitment, and the acquisition of the marquee striker would prove a great sign of intent for the club.
