Tyson Fury namedrops Jordan Pickford after night-out question, Everton star ‘seems a laugh’
Tyson Fury was already discussing “messy” celebrations with Everton star Jordan Pickford before his 10th-round stoppage of Derek Chisora on Saturday night.
Fury defended his WBC world heavyweight title at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, and the ‘Gypsy King’ is now set to fly out to Qatar where he’ll spend some time with England fans.
The 34-year-old was asked before his bout which of the England squad he’d like to take out drinking, and his answer was short and sweet: “Jordan Pickford”.

“He seems like a laugh to go on a drink with. I’m 100 per cent going to get messy with the fans. I’m known for that,” added Fury, as quoted by GiveMeSport.
“I’m going to sneak a few cases into my suitcase. They can have anything they want — whatever gets them going. Think of Euro 2016 when I went to Nice and bought 200 fans Jagerbombs.”
Messy
Pickford will have to wait until after England’s World Cup campaign to join Fury on a night out, but if the Three Lions go all the way and bring football home, then it’s bound to be a messy night of celebrations.
Both Pickford and Fury have hogged the headlines in the past for their partying and wild celebrations. Both the Everton shot-stopper and the undefeated heavyweight together spells disaster.

But for now, Pickford will be entirely focused on the World Cup campaign. The 28-year-old was extremely hard done by to not have gone down as an England legend for his penalty shootout heroics in the Euros final last year.
England narrowly missed out on that occasion but they’re keen to take that experience with them in Qatar and go one step further. Pickford was in brilliant form for the Toffees last year and he’s started the World Cup in fine form too with just two goals conceded in the group stage.
It’s bound to get much harder for Gareth Southgate’s team and Pickford in particular, but his main focus will be on returning to Goodison Park this month as a World Cup winner.
