Bramley-Moore Dock work ‘accelerates’ as Everton stadium roof approaches Easter 2023 deadline
The roof of the Everton stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is starting to take place and all five roof trusses will hopefully be in place for Easter 2023.
The new Everton stadium has just hit a new milestone as the first central piece of the five roof trusses has been placed, according to Liverpool Echo.
The new 52,888 capacity stadium is set to have two trusses installed in the north stand and three in the south, each of which contains three sections.

The first lower section of each truss was placed just last month, and the first of the central sections was placed this week in what is a major milestone for the stadium’s development.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, construction partner Laing O’Rourke hope to have all five trusses fully placed and installed by Easter 2023 – a year before the expected completion date of the full build.
The report adds: “As work on the roof accelerates, the roof panelling is following quickly behind, with the first liner sheets to aid with the roof build-up slotted into place.
“The next steps will be to install the third pre-assembled sections of steel, each weighing around 100 tonnes, in both stands and complete the first trusses.”
Home, sweet home
The new stadium is quickly becoming a reality for many Everton fans. What looked like a barren construction site for so long is now taking shape into a grand stadium.
It’s certainly an exciting project for Evertonians, although the final goodbye at Goodison is bound to be an extremely emotional time for anyone tied to the club.

But the new stadium represents the start of a new era for Everton – hopefully one that brings more memories and trophies.
The club has started to stagnate under the current ownership and the club being involved in successive relegation fights is a harsh reality for Everton fans to face.
But the wave of optimism and energy from the new stadium will hopefully fire Everton back on track. It’s a blank slate and a fresh start – something this Everton board and squad is crying out for right now.
