Everton shareholder Mike Parry slams ‘chaotic’ Farhad Moshiri as Bill Kenwright called to leave by fans
Mike Parry has taken aim at Everton owner Farhad Moshiri as he defended Bill Kenwright following an open letter from fans to Goodison Park.
The Mirror reported on Tuesday evening (6 December) that the 27 Campaign ran by Evertonians handwritten the letter to Moshiri asking for Kenwright to be removed from his role as Everton chairman.
Leaping to Kenwright’s defence, Parry – a former talkSPORT presenter and now club shareholder – took to Twitter to plead with fans to target Moshiri instead.
“Well, the fans who put their name to that letter must be eating magic mushrooms on toast for breakfast,” Parry said. “Bill Kenwright has single-handedly stopped Mr Moshiri from reducing Everton to ashes, Leeds/Portsmouth style. His control of our mighty club has been reckless and chaotic.”
The 27 Campaign were also keen to see current club CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale leave Goodison Park but they now fear that the owner is losing interest in the project at hand.
Start again
Moshiri may well bring a lot of funding to the football club but there are plenty of very rich people around who would love to own a football club.
But for Everton to find their way back to where they should be in the English football pyramid, it might be time for a complete overhaul behind the scenes and that could mean Kenwright walks out of the door with him.

Things are only going in the wrong direction both on and off the pitch at the moment and even with a brand new stadium under construction at Bramley-Moore Dock, there is no guarantee that the Toffees will remain among the nation’s elite.
Financial worries shouldn’t have come into play on Merseyside but the exuberant spending of Moshiri has caused problems which saw all of Frank Lampard’s summer transfers forced to wait until July for FFP reasons.
The club can’t live in fear of sanctions any longer and Moshiri knows it.
