Salomon Rondon works to terminate Everton contract, he feels he’s in good form despite Goodison Park woes
Everton striker Salomon Rondon is looking to terminate his contract at Goodison Park, according to a report from Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Venezuelan striker has struggled for game time under Frank Lampard this season, and he is looking to leave the club in the January window.
Marca reported on 15 December that he is very close to becoming one of the “bargains” of the winter window.

Despite his lack of game time, Rondon feels that he is in “good form”, and wants to continue playing at the highest level.
The striker was signed by Rafael Benitez on a free transfer in 2021. He has scored just three goals in 31 games for the Toffees so far.
Inevitable
Rondon has been largely overlooked by Lampard, and it makes sense for him if he wants to leave.
He has made just one start in the league this season and managed just 104 minutes of action thus far.
Rondon is an experienced striker who previously played for clubs like Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion, but he failed to make an impact at Goodison Park.

What has been really frustrating is that the Everton boss didn’t use him even when the club was without a recognized striker. It became very clear that Lampard does not rate him at all.
Rondon has still got a lot of football left in him and he has got offers from Spain, Italy, Turkey, England, and Portugal, which shows he is still a player in demand.
The Toffees could be looking to sign a new striker in January, and Rondon’s departure will free up the space for a new addition.
