Everton take lead in race to sign George Hall, he’s keen on Premier League move
Everton have taken the lead to sign Birmingham City youngster George Hall, according to Alan Nixon.
The newspaper journalist wrote on his Patreon (18 December) that the Toffees have moved ahead of Leeds United to secure the signature of the England Under-19 star.
Birmingham could look to sell him in the winter transfer window as he will bring more cash to the club, and the Toffees are “poised” to make the move.

Liverpool are also keeping tabs on his development, and Nixon suggests that a “sensible fee would work for all parties” involved.
“Everton are moving ahead of Leeds United in the chase for Birmingham City midfielder George Hall,” wrote Nixon.
“The England youth cap could be sold in the window to bring some money in for Blues and the Toffees are poised to make their move.
“Hall is keen to step up the ladder and Birmingham have not been giving him much game time lately, so a sensible fee would work for all parties.
“Liverpool have also been keeping an eye on developments as they revamp their midfield down the line.”
Smart choice
Hall is one of the brightest young talents at Birmingham and he would be a smart addition to the club.
The youngster has got 18 months left on his current deal, and the Championship club are reportedly looking to tie him down on a new deal [Birmingham Mail journalist Dick on 13 December].
He has played 18 league matches so far, and the club rate him highly. Every player has a price, and Birmingham could be willing to sell him if the price is right.

Hall is an exceptionally talented player and he has been continually linked with a move to several top-flight clubs, including Leeds.
The Toffees do have enough depth in the midfield region at the moment, but it appears that they don’t want to lose the talented youngster to other rival clubs.
He definitely won’t be a starter at Goodison Park, but could still make valuable contributions from the bench.
It feels like several clubs will try to get the youngster’s signature in January, and the Toffees look determined to sign him.
