Harry Redknapp admits ‘worry’ for Everton in relegation battle at Premier League
Harry Redknapp admits he doesn’t like the Everton squad and has “worry” for them in the relegation battle in the Premier League this season.
The Toffees currently sit one point above the relegation zone with just one win in their last nine games in all competitions, with 11 goals scored in 15 games so far this season.
And while speaking to BetVictor (22 December) about the resumption of the Premier League following the World Cup, Lampard’s uncle and former Spurs boss Redknapp admitted that he is worried about their prospects of survival.
“I worry about Everton,” he said.
“With their squad, I don’t like the look of their squad much. I think Frank’s got a job on his hands there.”
Poor
There have been big concerns for Everton so far this season, namely their inability to score goals and keep them out at the other end.
There was a period in the season where Lampard’s side had the best defence in the league and were claiming draws rather than wins, and that’s why their unbeaten run didn’t really matter much to their league standing.

In the second half of the season Lampard has to find a way to get goals flowing through the team, because he does have some quality options in attack, but he must also ensure the team is solid defensively too.
It’s a tough ask, but there are several teams in and around the battle too who fans would feel confident coming up against, especially at Goodison Park, so not all hope is lost.
It definitely would have been nice for Lampard to get some public backing to lift the pressure a little bit, but he’ll have to do it the hard way now I suppose.
