Dom King rages at Everton ‘disgrace’ as he shares Frank Lampard exit update

Everton are back at “square one” after suffering a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Brighton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Tuesday (3 January), as per journalist Dominic King.

The Daily Mail journalist wrote on Twitter (4 January) that Frank Lampard has come under the “firing line” once again, and it is a “disgrace” to see the club moving back and forth without making any real progress.

The Toffees have picked up just one win in the last 10 games, and Lampard could pay the heaviest price. The pressure is gradually mounting on him as they find themselves 16th in the table, with only one point above the relegation zone.

“Frank Lampard is in the firing line and will, most likely, pay the heaviest price. It’s a disgrace, once again, that Everton are back at square one. Enough is enough,” wrote King on Twitter.

Disgrace

The club is in complete mess at the moment, but Lampard hasn’t done enough to exude confidence in the side.

The Toffees operated on a tough budget in the summer, but they did manage to bring in new faces to the squad.

Lampard has been very predictable with his approach and tactics, and he has looked completely out of depth in recent months. The league table doesn’t lie.

People can talk about the lack of investment, but sometimes managers can work wonders with limited resources. The Toffees boss hasn’t figured it out how to win games away from home.

Everton

At home games, when the Toffees should look to dominate and get points, they have suffered from a lack of confidence especially after going a goal down.

The defeat against Brighton is the best example. The Toffees trailed 1-0 at the break, and whatever Lampard said at the break didn’t work for them, as they conceded three goals in quick succession.

It doesn’t look healthy for any club to change managers frequently, but Lampard doesn’t seem to be the right man who can take the club out of this present crisis.
