Ligue 1 side Lorient likely to sell Everton target Dango Ouattara if sizeable transfer bid made

Lorient are reportedly likely to sell Everton target Dango Ouattara if a sizeable transfer bid is made as Bournemouth and Leicester City are also showing an interest.

According to TEAMtalk [9 January], the Ligue 1 side are aware of the interest clubs are showing in securing the services of the 20-year-old.

Foot Mercato reported on 8 January that the Toffees had already submitted an opening bid of £17million for the Burkina Faso international.

Everton

Good move?

The youngster has caught the eye in France’s top tier this season, having bagged five goals and five assists in 16 games so far.

There have been a number of clubs sending scouts to see him in person over the course of the campaign and a move appears to be around the corner for him.

Lorient know that they’re unlikely to retain his services for too long and it could be best for them to cash in on him when the demand is high.

Everton

Everton clearly do need a wide attacker this month and if they’re getting Ouattara at a good price, it’s a move they must consider.

The only downside is that he’s not proven himself at another club and is far too young for any justification against his current run of form being a purple patch.

However, if the scouts at Goodison Park are convinced that he’s a real deal then the club must make a move before someone else swoops in as Bournemouth and Leicester appear to be very keen on getting this deal done.
