Alan Myers shares Farhad Moshiri update after talkSPORT radio interview
Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers has revealed that nobody at Everton was aware Farhad Moshiri was going to appear live on talkSPORT on Thursday morning.
The Everton owner appeared on the White and Jordan show (12 January) after writing an open letter to the fans displaying his support for Frank Lampard. Simon Jordan didn’t hold back after the interview, suggesting Moshiri was to blame for the Toffees’ dismal form in recent years.
Myers has since suggested (via Twitter, 12 January) that nobody at the club knew the Iranian-born businessman was going to go live on-air.
“I understand nobody at Everton was made aware that Moshiri was going to do the radio interview, they only knew once it aired,” wrote Myers (personal Twitter account, 12 January).
Mess
Moshiri’s tenure at Goodison Park has been a mess from start to finish and it’s certainly time for him to sell up and get out of the club. The talkSPORT incident is just another example of how out of touch he really is with the fans and the general feeling on Merseyside.
The show of faith in Frank Lampard was so poorly timed with Everton facing a must-win match against Southampton on Saturday (14 January). The 44-year-old has been given a vote of confidence but could well be sacked if his side lose to the Saints.

It’s been a terrible start to the month for Everton and something has to change if the Toffees want to drag themselves away from the relegation zone. Lampard has to take some of the blame, but ultimately he’s been short-changed in terms of transfers and players who he has available to him.
These are certainly bad times on the blue side of Stanley Park.
