Everton make move behind the scenes to seal Dango Ouattara transfer

Everton and West Ham are reportedly keen on securing the services of Lorient striker Dango Ouattara in the January transfer window.

According to Media Foot [12 January], the Toffees along with the Hammers have made a move behind the scenes in order to sign the 20-year-old striker.

It’s understood that the Ligue 1 side will be open to a sale if any club can shell out a fee in the region of £8.8million.

Everton Frank Lampard

Not bad

If Everton are making efforts behind closed doors to secure his services then there’s a good chance that he’s among the priority targets at Goodison Park.

It’s clear that they want to sign a new striker this month, especially after their failure to land Ben Brereton Diaz close to transfer deadline day.

Lorient are very likely to sell the Burkina Faso international in January and given the interest in his services, we will not be surprised if they drive the price up for him as well.

Everton

Ouattara is still raw so will understand if he’s not a guaranteed starter week in and week out for the Toffees, although he would love game time.

If Frank Lampard can figure out how to play him and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the same side, it would double the team’s goal threat as well.

Hopefully, they end up following up on their interest in the player and not let it go away because of interest from clubs like West Ham.
