It is believed that the Ligue 1 outfit will be willing to sell providing they receive a bid of around £8.8m. And according to latest reports, Ouattara is attracting plenty of Premier League interest.

Foot Mercato journalist Genuardi took to his personal Twitter account [13 January] to reveal that Everton are the latest English top-flight side to enter the bidding way for Ouattara.

He tweeted: “After Leicester and Bournemouth, it’s Everton’s turn to tackle Lorient’s Dango Ouattara.

“In parallel with the negotiations for Elanga and Danjuma, the Toffees have sent an offer. This is considered insufficient, but the track remains active. “

Get Him In

Ouattara at 20 years old is the ideal profile for the Toffees to build around the future. Considering his quality, raw and increasing potential, he is a player Everton must do all they can to get through the Goodison Park doors.

It is no secret that Frank Lampard’s men have been poor in front of goal this season, only scoring just 14 goals in 18 Premier League games, and 15 in all competitions

Everton

Goals win you games, and potentially steer you clear from relegation, and unfortunately, the Toffees do not have that luxury right now.

Signing attacking quality is a must this month, and Ouattara presents a further opportunity to build a side for the future considering his age profile and potential.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough campaign so far, bagging six goals and five assists in 17 games which reads as 11 goal involvements in under half the French top-flight season – considerably more than any of Lampard’s current options have mustered over the course of the season.

When an opportunity to recruit a future star for an as little fee as FC Lorient are reportedly demanding, you simply do not pass up on the chance. But knowing Everton’s record in the transfer window, it’s one which may pass them by if they don’t act quickly.
