Arnaut Danjuma completes Everton medical, set to sign contract – Fabrizio Romano

Arnaut Danjuma has completed his Everton medical and is set to sign his contract with the club on loan for the rest of the season, says Fabrizio Romano.

The Toffees were competing with a host of other clubs for the signature of the Dutch international, and have now won the race for the 25-year-old.

After making his final decision overnight, Danjuma has now completed his medical with the club and will join on loan for the rest of the season with no buy option included.

“Danjuma has just completed medical tests as new Everton player – time to sign contracts after deal agreed last night,” Romano wrote on his personal Twitter account (21 January).

“Official statement to follow – loan until end of the season will be confirmed, no buy option.”

Excellent

The only negative about this deal is the fact that Danjuma wasn’t signed in time to be able to play in the game against West Ham today.

The Dutch winger is electric with his speed and ability to take players on, while also being able to play on both wings and through the middle as a goalscorer.

Everton

With 22 goals last season in La Liga and the Champions League he could be the answer to the problems that we have had with finding the back of the net.

He’ll now have a week to train with the rest of the team and get to grips with the demands of the team before getting onto the pitch finally to help fire us up the table.

Danjuma’s season starts now, and he could become a cult hero if he fires us to safety in the second half of the campaign to keep us in the division.
