Everton to announce Arnaut Danjuma signing after overnight agreement – Fabrizio Romano
Everton reached a “full agreement” on Saturday night (21 January) to sign Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
In his customary style, the Guardian journalist has confirmed the deal, saying “here we go”, while writing for Caugtoffside (22 January).
Romano says that it’s a “done deal”, the player has completed his medical and the official announcement will follow soon. He will join the club on loan, with the Toffees having the option to sign permanently.

“Arnaut Danjuma to Everton, here we go! Full agreement reached during the night and details now sorted,” wrote Romano for Caughtoffside.
“It’s done deal, Danjuma’s back to Premier League. He’s completed his medical tests with Everton, and it should be announced soon – a loan until the end of the season with no option to buy.”
On-pitch issues!
Naturally, when the club are about to sign a new player, there is an element of excitement.
However, the atmosphere at Goodison Park is bleak at the moment, and the results on the pitch are sire at the moment.
One can’t help but feel the pressure that the Toffees have been dragged into the relegation battle yet again.
Frank Lampard’s side are yet to win in their last eight games in the Premier League, losing six of them.
The football being played is dull, boring, and lacks imagination. Lampard doesn’t have any idea how to get a win away from home.

Danjuma will be a fantastic addition, no doubt, but the problem lies with the manager as well.
This is simply unacceptable. Everton do need to bolster their squad, but the current squad doesn’t deserve to be in the 19th place either.
Are we going to believe that the squad is so bad that they can’t even get a point away from home? Let’s just hope Danjuma can make a positive impact and help the club move out of this mess.
