Everton: Farhad Moshiri works hard for Anthony Gordon exit deal alongside Tim Cahill – Kaveh Solhekol

Farhad Moshiri has been working hard to get the best possible deal for Everton alongside Tim Cahill in Anthony Gordon’s transfer to Newcastle, according to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.

Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie reported on 27 January that Everton had agreed to a deal with Newcastle for Gordon for £45million.

Now, Solhekol has confessed that Moshiri was unofficially helped by Cahill in making the deal happen, with the Australian former teammates with soon-to-be manager Sean Dyche.

“Anthony Gordon is heading to Newcastle. All that needs to be sorted now are the personal terms,” as quoted by Sky Sports. (27 January, 17:05 PM)

“The deal will be worth £45m in total. Farhad Moshiri has been working hard for Everton to get the best deal possible once the player had told them that he did not want to stay at the club.

“I think Tim Cahill – the former Everton midfielder – has played a part unofficially in this deal as he played with Sean Dyche at Millwall.”

Everton

Onwards and upwards.

With the grey, dark cloud starting to slightly disappear above Goodison Park there has never been a better time to wipe the slate clean.

The club will be hoping for an instant new manager bounce with Dyche and the exit of Gordon will take away any bad taste in and around Finch Farm.

It’s now a crucial end to the month for the Blue side of Merseyside, one where transfers will be rushed across the line in an attempt to save the Toffees season.

Dyche will hopefully have some players in mind already over who he wants to bring to the club, players that will ultimately be up for the dogfight that is about to commence.

The former Burnley man will be expected to guide Everton out of the relegation zone, something that is completely doable to the current tight league standings.

Onwards and upwards must be the motto the team take on as they look to a new era at the club, Dyche needs to hit the ground running to get fans back on the team’s side.
