Everton in late January hunt to sign Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao
Everton want to make a late January move for Udinese central defender Rodrigo Becao, according to the Mail on Sunday.
Tutto Udinese (14 December) claimed the Toffees were in the hunt for the 27-year-old Brazilian defender, with Serie A side Napoli also interested.
The Mail on Sunday have since suggested (print edition, pg. 108, 29 January) that Everton are still keen on a move for the Brazilian.

It’s also believed West Ham are monitoring Michael Keane, with his future at Goodison Park still uncertain.
Massive
There are three days left in the transfer window and their importance of them cannot be understated. With Anthony Gordon close to the Goodison Park exit door another attacker has to be an absolute must. The Toffees have been blunt going forward in the 2022/23 campaign. Goals are desperately needed in a relegation dogfight, which will have to be one of Sean Dyche’s priorities.

Another defender could also be on the agenda if one of their current defensive options leaves in the coming days. Keane has been linked with an exit over the course of the January window – and if he does depart a move for Becao would become more viable.
The issue for Everton at the moment is trying to attract players. They’re in a difficult position in league standings and the off-the-field issues are probably not going to help too much. It will be interesting to see what they manage to achieve up until the deadline, it could prove to be absolutely essential in their battle against the drop.
