Everton training update emerges as Sean Dyche at Finch Farm before official announcement was made
Sean Dyche was reportedly taking training at Everton even before his official announcement was made on 30 January.
According to Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas, Dyche is at Finch Farm and was expected to take training on 30 January even though the club hadn’t made an announcement.
He now has been officially announced and along with training will also have to deal with the transfer window ahead of the deadline on Tuesday.
Via Twitter, “Sean Dyche is at Finch Farm and is expected to take training this afternoon. Not yet been formally announced as new Everton manager but just a matter of time. Big 36 hours now for Everton – there was a belief within club that 2 signings were needed even before Anthony Gordon sale.”
Unnecessary delays
We cannot understand why Everton were delaying making this official when everyone knows that Dyche is the one joining.
The fact that he’s taking training before being announced is baffling, to say the least, and such things can happen only at Everton.
It’s good that he’s part of the club already and that will be beneficial as the club looks to get deals done over the line ahead of the transfer deadline.

His say is certainly going to be an important one and hopefully, the board gives him the players he wants as it’s a tough battle he’s got on his hands.
Hopefully, an announcement is made sooner rather than later so that we all can get on with it and keep tabs on who else will be coming through the door.
Dyche has been in this stage before with Burnley and has worked on a tiny transfer budget to get them to punch above their weight.
