Everton could sign Andre Ayew in out-of-window February transfer as fans gather at Finch Farm
Andre Ayew could be signed outside the January transfer window as Everton remain interested in the 33-year-old, according to The Daily Mail’s Dominic King.
90min claimed (30 January) the Toffees were in the hunt for the former Swansea striker, who is now a free agent after leaving Qatari side Al Sadd.
King has since suggested (Daily Mail, 31 January) Ayew is a target for Sean Dyche, however, nothing is imminent at the moment on the transfer front.

Poor
If Everton end up signing a 33-year-old free agent then the board have a lot to answer to. It’s clear why there’s such a chaotic situation on the transfer front at Goodison Park. The club were tentative in their backing of Frank Lampard. They didn’t want the former Chelsea boss to spend more of their transfer kitty with his job under threat.
Realistically, the board should’ve acted sooner and allowed Dyche more time to make significant changes to his squad. Scrounging around for free agents at the end of the window is not the position the board and their new manager want to be in.

It doesn’t seem like any new additions are close and if no new signings are made, the former Burnley boss will have one hell of a job on his hands. We’ve seen his ability to get the most out of what he has at his disposal, and he will have to replicate that in the second half of the campaign.
There’s still time and anything can happen on deadline day, but at the moment, the chances of Everton being significantly strengthened looks unlikely.
