Everton snub loan deal for Chelsea starlet Omari Hutchinson on deadline day
Everton turned down the chance to sign Chelsea starlet Omari Hutchinson on loan on deadline day after being offered his services, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that Everton felt the 19-year-old was too young to be getting involved in a relegation dogfight and opted against signing him because of this.
Now, the Blues face the second half of the Premier League season with no fresh faces in the squad, something which desperately needed to happen this month.

“Everton did have other targets, with Chelsea’s rising young star Omari Hutchinson offered on a loan deal,” as quoted by the Mirror. (1 February)
“But the club felt the 19-year-old was too young to make a difference in their relegation scrap.”

Grim.
With the £40m received from Anthony Gordon, fans expected to see this reinvested into new players before the January transfer window shut.
Wasn’t that the sole purpose of that deal? Where is that money going to go now? These are questions that should be raised to the Everton hierarchy.
By making zero moves, the club now sits in an even more precarious position and unless Sean Dyche performs some kind of miracle, it’s hard not to see the club getting relegated.
Signing no players this month is simply that bad of an outcome, it was desperately needed and the fact the club have neglected this is beyond any Evertonian right now.
Unfortunately, though, it’s hardly surprising and this is the kind of clueless behaviour fans expect from the Everton board at the moment.
With no plans, no shortlists and no direction, the club had the gift of a whole nearly two months off to sort and negotiate signings ahead of January too.
Is anyone surprised by this point? Probably not, but the fans of Everton deserve more.
