Mikael Silvestre predicts outcome of Everton clash v Arsenal

Everton will face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday (4 February) at Goodison Park with a new manager in the dugout, but Mikael Silvestre expects the visitors to win this tie.

The Gunners are leading the Premier League table with five points above Manchester City having played a game less. The Toffees on the other hand are 19th in the table with only 15 points on board.

Silvestre, the former Arsenal player, finds only “one outcome” possible in this game, and that is Arsenal’s victory, although he admits that Dyche’s arrival will lift the mood around the stadium.

The former Premier League defender suggests that if the Toffees concede a goal, they could be in “big trouble”.

“No, I think Arsenal should win that game because of the dynamic, the momentum and the positive attitude they have,” said Silvestre to bettingexpert.

“Everton, I think if they concede one, they could be in big trouble.

“New manager, yeah, lifts the mood but you can’t fix things in a week, in a few days.

“I see one outcome in that game, a win for Arsenal.”

Mood

This is a new beginning at the club but there’s hardly anything to get excited about at the moment.

The Toffees failed to sign a single player in the January window, and the club is an absolute mess at the moment.

On top of that, they have lost one of their prized assets – Anthony Gordon – to Newcastle United.

One struggles to find how Everton will survive this season, and it will require a herculean effort from this side to escape relegation.

Everton

It beggars belief that the club so long to sack Frank Lampard and appoint a new manager. Dyche was left with no time at all to bring in new players.

Arsenal is in tremendous form at the moment, and they are looking unstoppable, be it home or away.

The fans can generate an electrifying atmosphere at Goodison Park, but will it be enough to inspire the team to get a win against the Gunners?

Still, anything can happen over the course of 90 minutes, and let’s hope the Toffees get off to a winning start under Dyche.
