BBC pundit makes Sean Dyche admission as Everton behind-the-scenes news emerges

Dion Dublin admits that players hate the bleep test as Sean Dyche brought it in during the Everton training sessions ahead of Arsenal.

In his first week at Goodison Park, it was revealed that Dyche put the Toffees players through bleep tests to test their levels of fitness.

He then went on record to confirm saying that he wanted to gauge the capabilities of his players to see which ones fit his system.

Discussing this on the Premier League Productions’ Weekend Round-up, Dublin a BBC pundit said (06/02, 14:06), “He put them up to a bleep test. That’s what every player hates. You can see the results and I’m glad Dyche has done it.”

Seeing the results

Dyche is an experienced custodian who knows what he’s doing and if it’s rubbing the Everton players the wrong way, it’s a good thing.

For the last few years, they’ve been living in their comfort zone and need someone in charge who can push them the extra mile.

If they’re unwilling to comply, he’s going to have no problem in showing them the door and the board must give him that kind of authority.

Everton

Most teams have struggled to even get a point off Arsenal this season and Dyche managed to get all three in his first game in charge.

While Everton did not dominate possession, they created the better of the chances and deserved to get the win in front of their home support.

Amadou Onana, in particular, had an outstanding game for the Toffees and he’s the ideal player the manager would want in midfield.
