Farhad Moshiri would sell Everton tomorrow if right offer arrived – journalist
Farhad Moshiri has been “entertaining offers” to buy Everton for months and would sell the club “tomorrow” if the right offer arrived, according to Paul Brown.
The Guardian (January 25) revealed that the Iranian-born businessman is looking for an offer of over £500million after putting the club up for sale in January.
It is believed the 67-year-old would like to recoup the money that he invested in the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, a development that has forced him to seek outside investment in recent months.

Speaking to GiveMeSport (Sunday 5 February), journalist Brown said: “If Moshiri got the right offer, he would sell tomorrow.
“It’s quite clear he’s been entertaining offers for the club for months now, despite claiming that it’s not for sale.”

Time to go
Plenty of stories have surfaced of Moshiri needing outside investment to continue the running of Everton football club, so a speedy sale makes complete sense for the Toffees owner.
The main issue, though, is that Everton are not an attractive investment right now, with the club currently in the relegation zone and having a real fight on their hands to retain their top-flight status next season.
For this reason, a sale in this campaign looks extremely unlikely, but if Sean Dyche leads his team to top-flight safety, then the investors may come calling and the number of potential bidders will increase.
Right now, their Premier League fate is hanging by a thread but was given a huge boost when Dyche led his side to a remarkable 1-0 win against league-leaders Arsenal. A very-much winnable Merseyside derby awaits, with Liverpool arriving on the back of three defeats in their last four games.
And with the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium’s construction also well underway, the club, and more importantly, Moshiri, simply cannot afford to get relegated. The coming weeks in the Premier League could be crucial in the club’s long-term future under their current owner.
