Bill Kenwright spotted at Anfield to watch Everton loss v Liverpool
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright was spotted at Anfield for the Merseyside Derby despite missing recent games due to security concerns.
The Toffees board didn’t turn up for home fixtures against Southampton and Arsenal, with claims that there had been significant threats against their safety made.
But that didn’t stop the long-time chairman showing up at Anfield and taking his seat in the stands to watch Everton lose 2-0 on Monday night (13 February).
“Everton chairman Bill Kenwright at Anfield tonight,” wrote ESPN journalist Mark Ogden on his personal Twitter account (13 February), alongside an image of the man himself.
“Has missed last two games at Goodison due to security concerns.”

So apparently it’s safer for the Everton chairman to rock up to Anfield than it is for him to rock up to his own ground these days?
It’s almost as if the claims put out by the board were designed to put the fans in a negative light rather than actually show the facts, and that’s that they’re entirely incompetent.

The board has to go and quickly, because the relationship between them and the fan base is completely broken and is far beyond repair after recent problems.
He got to see first hand the problems that his and the board’s poor decision making have caused, with youngster Ellis Simms thrown into the deep end at Anfield and way out of his depth because of a lack of urgency in the January window.
Hopefully the rest of the world will clock on to the fact that he feels safe enough to attend Everton games in Merseyside after all, because he’s got nowhere to hide about it now.
